The Bowling Green State University Club Baseball Team was started in the early 1990s by a group of young men that wanted to pursue their dreams of playing competitive baseball. The university granted them their wish and today it is one of the the most popular organizations on campus. The club baseball team is ran through the Sport Club office located at the Perry Fieldhouse. The BGSU Club Baseball Team is a proud member of the National Club Baseball Association. Each year the team pays yearly dues to the NCBA and they in return supply us with membership to the league. Membership includes a conference schedule with other member schools as well as discounts on baseball apparel and merchandise from companies such as Rawlings, Demarini and Richardson Hats.
To join the BGSU Club Baseball Team you must be a full time student at BGSU and be in good academic standing with the university. We have tryouts for the team twice a year. The first tryout is in early September and the second is in early January. All players are required to pay team dues to help pay for traveling expenses, spring training trip to Florida, hotel costs, field costs, umpire costs and other team expenses.
