The Bowling Green State University Club Baseball Team was started in the early 1990s by a group of young men that wanted to pursue their dreams of playing competitive baseball. The university granted them their wish and today, it has become one of the the most popular organizations on campus. The Club Baseball team is ran through the Sport Club office located in the Perry Field House. The BGSU Club Baseball Team is a proud member of the National Club Baseball Association. Each year, the team pays yearly dues to the NCBA and in return, they supply us with membership to the league. Membership includes a conference schedule with other member schools, as well as discounts on baseball apparel and merchandise from companies such as Rawlings, DeMarini, and Richardson Hats.
To join the BGSU Club Baseball Team, you must be a full time student at BGSU and in good academic standing with the university. We hold tryouts within the first two months of the academic year, right around the same time as the walk-on varsity tryouts. All players are required to pay team dues to help pay for traveling expenses, hotel costs, field costs, umpire costs, the NCBA Spring Training Showcase in Florida, and other team expenses.
